EFT (Tapping) at our Tapping Therapy Blue Mountains retreat
EFT or emotional freedom technique is a very simple sequence of tapping points. It works by tapping and stimulating particular acupressure points around the head and upper torso. Using your fingertips to tap while bringing to mind and voicing the issue or problem. At our Tapping therapy Blue Mountains retreat we use tapping to help to relieve emotional issues or to help you achieve your goals and reinforce some positive beliefs. It is used in conjunction with other treatments or on it’s own. It is a wonderful way to help find relief from previous traumas and emotional blockages.
Tapping Therapy Blue Mountains and how it works
Our acupuncture points are powerful energy openings that can be stimulated by tapping, pressure, holding, stretching and needles. The acupressure points are located on our meridians, our meridian energy system has been used for healing in Shiatsu & Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. Traditional Chinese Medicine & Shiatsu works with our meridian energy system to influence our physical, psychological and spiritual body. EFT uses tapping to stimulate our energy system, by tapping on these powerful points in the tapping sequence it can help us change our thoughts and perceptions of past events often very quickly. At our Tapping Therapy Blue Mountains retreat we find tapping is a very simple but powerful modality.
EFT is a very powerful & simple to learn form of energy healing, that you can use pretty much anywhere and anytime it is required. At Essential Bliss we may combine it with other treatments. If we feel you would benefit from Aromatherapy, shiatsu or massage we will combine it for best results. I find it very powerful when combined with Aromatherapy and carefully selected essential oils, that best suit your needs.

The points we use at Tapping Therapy Blue Mountains retreat are listed below;
Below is a diagram of the tapping points, side of the hand (KC point illustrated below) is where you start with the set up phrase, it is also coined the psychological reversal point. Gentle but firm tapping with the finger tips, using your dominate hand on the KC point on the other non dominant hand. Generally tapping is on just one side of the body, but the meridians mirror on both sides of the body, the only exception is the governing and central meridians which run up the centre of the back and torso.

Repeat the set up phrase on the KC point three times, then tap through the points starting at the
eyebrow (EB)
side of the eye (SE)
under the nose (UN)
chin
collarbone (CB)
under Arm (UA)
top of the head (TH)
I also use a point on the diaphragm, directly below the nipple on the rib cage, as shown in the diagram. If you choose to make an appointment we will sit down with you and discuss what treatment will best benefit your particular needs.
Gary Craig is the founder of EFT he developed it in the 90’s as he was interested in resolving emotional blocks to success. He was training in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) with Dr Roger Callahan and over the next five years Gary Craig developed the TFT training and came up with the series of tapping points we now know as EFT tapping.
For me personally EFT tapping therapy Blue Mountains retreat has helped me release a memory that I repressed for 35 years. A memory that was hidden beneath the surface often made me very angry and not able to trust people for 35 years. When the memory finally came to the surface, I didn’t know what to do with how I was feeling. After many shiatsu treatments and many tapping sessions, I’m a much calmer and peaceful person. The actual tapping therapy technique that I used to finally clear the memory is called the movie technique. It is a very powerful tapping therapy when trauma is involved, as it is very gentle. This tapping therapy gently removes you from the situation as you view it as a movie. I actually had a physical reaction of heat and redness on my skin for a couple of days but I didn’t mind as I knew it was symbolic of it leaving my body. I still use tapping often when something comes up and it’s always helpful, 100% of the time.
